Andrew Swaffield – Death – a Theosophical Perspective
Death – a Theosophical Perspective
A zoom talk by Andrew Swaffield
President of the Theosophical Society in England & Wales
Sunday 4th October – 2pm
(Doors open 1.30)
Is death the lights going out, or the lamp being put down?
We begin with the view that the brain makes the mind and death is the switch, then look at the questions modern research on consciousness, near-death experiences and even a Dan Brown thriller are now asking. From there we turn to the Secret Doctrine, the Mahatma Letters and Geoffrey Farthing’s When We Die for the Theosophical account of the journey from the last breath to the next birth, and ask what it means for fear, for loss and for how we live. Questions welcome.
